Hi all of you great sewers! Happy 2014! Well, we are back in the swing of things in 2014. So happy that many of you are making the bags once again after a nice holiday break. I keep learning about more locations to bring the bags. This past week I delivered 50 bags to Child and Family Services in Prov. One on Eddy St., the other on Pleasant St. Also got a call from Wellesley MA. A group of women who are from the Latter Day Saints contacted me and want to partner up to make bags for the kids there. I am interested in hearing from you. Any questions about the directions or anything you might want to share in relation to the bags.
holly, I want to just tell you once again how much I enjoyed making these bags!! It really leaves a good feeling inside knowing that these little things we take for granted can bring such happiness to kids out there who really need some happiness. I will definitely be contacting you again with more
Hi Claire! For some reason I never was sent the comment that you made on the Bags blog. They are supposed to email me with any comment that shows up on this web page. Sorry! I would have gotten back to you much sooner. So glad you are enjoying making the bags. I will be making a delivery soon to Child and Family Services in Prov. I really liked your bags a lot. You did a great job! Thanks again for supporting this need. Hollie
I was so happy to find sizes for these bags...I live in Tucson,Az and we have a real need here.... Some organizations make them but there are never enough...I also make small fleece pillows, bean bags, and balls that I give to these places and they put them in the kids bags....
So glad the website is useful to you! Sounds like you're doing great things in Tucson. Keep up the good work.
All the best,
Thanks for your nice blog very informative.
Many folks consider that sewing need to be terribly tricky to grasp, but actually, if you can read through and thread a needle you can most possible find out to sew. Presented the suitable fundamental guidelines and with adequate apply just about everyone can study to sew.
Answering one question leads to 100 more. And that can be daunting and, at times, it leaves me deeply unfulfilled.
I brought all of the batiks with me, but purchased the light turquoise blender for the background once we got to our destination. (Vacation gets even better when there is a fabric store near by!)
Sorting through boxes of donated sewing items I got this week I was thinking of a special sewing student of mine, her name is Cadence.
I'm excited to discover this page. I want to to thank you for your time just for this fantastic read!! I definitely enjoyed every bit of it and i also have you saved to fav to see new information in your site.
